What You'll Do
✔ Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising occupational therapist
✔ Provide direct, patient-centered occupational therapy interventions
✔ Support patients working toward short- and long-term functional goals
✔ Observe patient response and communicate progress to the occupational therapist
✔ Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation
✔ Follow established safety, infection-control, and quality standards
✔ Collaborate with therapists, nursing teams, support staff, patients, and families
✔ Assist with department quality-improvement activities and day-to-day workflow
✔ Demonstrate age-appropriate competency for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Required
✔ Associate degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program
✔ Active Tennessee COTA license or eligibility to obtain Tennessee licensure
✔ Ability to deliver compassionate, patient-focused care
✔ Clear communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Preferred
✔Previous COTA experience is preferred but not required
✔Candidates interested in developing hospital-based inpatient and outpatient experience are encouraged to apply
