You will support patients across medical floors, adult critical care, and the emergency department, which means your nights can include everything from routine respiratory treatments and secretion mobilization to invasive ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, emergency airway support, and blood gas analysis.
For a newer therapist, that breadth creates a strong clinical foundation. You will have the opportunity to build confidence across multiple acute-care environments while learning the hospital's patient-driven protocols and working closely with the broader care team.
For an experienced RRT, the appeal is the variety and autonomy. The department expects therapists to move throughout the hospital and manage a meaningful respiratory workload rather than remain tied to one narrow service line.
The technology environment is also well established, with ventilators including Avea, Puritan Bennett 840, 3100B HFOV, and VentiPac transport systems, along with V60 and Vision non-invasive ventilation, IPV, Capnostream ETCO2 monitoring, OmniCell, and Epic.

What You'll Do
✔ Provide respiratory care across medical floors, adult critical care, and the emergency department
✔ Administer breathing treatments and secretion-mobilization therapies
✔ Manage non-invasive and invasive ventilation
✔ Support cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency airway management
✔ Assist with intubation procedures
✔ Draw and analyze arterial blood gases
✔ Obtain EKGs
✔ Work throughout the hospital based on respiratory-care needs
✔ Document patient care and treatment activity in Epic
✔ Support approximately 12 to 14 treatments per four-hour round or approximately 4 to 5 ventilated patients, depending on assignment
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly compensation with a structured clinical pay scale that increases based on experience, qualifications, and level of practice.
The range is broad enough to support both newer RRTs and more experienced respiratory therapists with stronger acute-care backgrounds.
Relocation assistance may also be available and is determined at the time of offer.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required
✔ Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT
✔ Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner license
✔ BLS certification
✔ Ability to provide respiratory care across acute-care and critical-care environments
Preferred
At least one year of respiratory therapy experience is preferred based on the department description.
New graduates will also be considered.
