What You'll Do
✔ Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
✔ Assist patients in improving strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional independence.
✔ Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to the supervising therapist.
✔ Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, and safe use of assistive devices.
✔ Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses to therapy.
✔ Prepare treatment areas and rehabilitation equipment for daily patient care.
✔ Maintain a safe, organized, and patient focused rehabilitation environment.
✔ Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate quality patient care.
✔ Encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey while promoting confidence and independence.
✔ Contribute to a positive team culture focused on compassionate care and excellent clinical outcomes.
Required
✔ Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
✔ Current Missouri Physical Therapist Assistant certification or eligibility to obtain it before starting.
✔ Strong patient care, communication, listening, and problem solving skills.
✔ Ability to work effectively with patients, families, therapists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
✔ Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
✔ Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds with patient or equipment assistance and carry up to 35 pounds.
Preferred
• One year of Physical Therapist Assistant experience.
• Previous Skilled Nursing or rehabilitation experience.
• New graduates with strong clinical preparation and a passion for patient centered care are encouraged to apply.
