What You'll Do
✔ Assess patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary needs
✔ Use clinical judgment to deliver appropriate respiratory treatments
✔ Administer therapies and monitor patient response
✔ Provide respiratory education to patients and families
✔ Support selected cardiac and diagnostic procedures
✔ Respond to changing patient needs in acute and critical care situations
✔ Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical team members
✔ Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately
✔ Follow respiratory care, safety, infection-control, and quality standards
Minimum Qualifications
Required
✔ Associate degree or higher
✔ Current NBRC credential as an RRT or CRT, unless exempt based on credentialing rules for clinicians credentialed before 2002
✔ Current Tennessee respiratory therapist license or eligibility to obtain Tennessee licensure
✔ Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP credentials
✔ Strong clinical judgment, communication, and ability to work effectively under pressure
Preferred
·       Hospital experience with medical-surgical, pediatric, neonatal, and critical care patients is preferred
·       Supervisory experience is preferred
·       Additional skill in ECG and other diagnostic procedures is helpful
