Candidates who are registered radiographers and building MR expertise may have up to one year after MR competency completion to obtain MR certification.

What You'll Do
✔ Perform MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and department protocols
✔ Operate MRI scanners, injectors, patient-monitoring systems, and related equipment
✔ Prepare and position patients while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety
✔ Screen patients carefully for MRI safety and contrast-related considerations
✔ Administer and manage gadolinium contrast within training and policy
✔ Evaluate image quality and support radiologist interpretation
✔ Enter and retrieve information through hospital and imaging systems
✔ Maintain clean examination areas, supplies, and infection-control standards
✔ Communicate professionally with patients, families, radiologists, physicians, and hospital staff
✔ Participate in call coverage and adapt to changing department priorities
Minimum Qualifications
Required
✔ Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
✔ ARRT certification as a Radiographer
✔ ARRT MR certification or ability to obtain MR certification within 12 months after completion of MR competency
✔ Ability to operate MRI scanners, injectors, patient monitors, hospital computer systems, and related imaging equipment
✔ Strong patient-care, safety, communication, organization, and stress-management skills
Preferred
·       Four years of radiology experience is preferred
·       Two years of MRI experience is preferred
