You will work with both inpatient and outpatient populations, treating needs related to speech, language, cognition, articulation, voice, fluency, oral motor function, breathing, and swallowing. That broad scope allows you to maintain and strengthen a diverse clinical skill set rather than becoming limited to one patient population or treatment area.
One of the strongest aspects of this position is the treatment model. Patients are seen one-on-one, and documentation time is built into the therapist's schedule. You will have the space to evaluate thoroughly, create individualized plans of care, educate patients and families, and focus on progress without constantly feeling pressured by volume.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of Speech-Language Pathology services in the surrounding community. Collaboration is also central to the department. You will work alongside PT and OT while coordinating with physicians, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals. What You'll Do
✔ Evaluate speech, language, cognition, voice, fluency, oral motor function, breathing, and swallowing abilities
✔ Develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs and functional goals
✔ Provide skilled one-on-one speech and swallowing therapy
✔ Treat both inpatient and outpatient populations
✔ Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and recommendations
✔ Monitor progress and modify treatment plans when clinically appropriate
✔ Collaborate with physicians, therapists, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals
✔ Support continuity of care and appropriate follow-up services
✔ Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
✔ Participate in departmental quality and performance improvement initiatives
✔ Supervise students, support personnel, or CFY clinicians when applicable and permitted by licensure

Minimum Qualifications
Required
✔ Master's Degree
✔ Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
✔ Oregon Speech-Language Pathology license in good standing
✔ Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
Preferred
Hospital-based inpatient Speech-Language Pathology experience
Hospital-based outpatient Speech-Language Pathology experience
