What You'll Do

✔ Complete speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing evaluations

✔ Develop patient-centered plans of care based on identified needs

✔ Provide evidence-informed treatment in acute and outpatient settings

✔ Adjust treatment approaches for patients across different ages and levels of acuity

✔ Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and home recommendations

✔ Document evaluations, treatment progress, and outcomes accurately and promptly

✔ Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, and support teams

✔ Participate in quality-improvement efforts and department operations

✔ Support weekend coverage as part of the established rotation

Minimum Qualifications

Required

✔ Master’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program

✔ Tennessee SLP license or eligibility to obtain Tennessee licensure

✔ Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility to obtain the credential

✔ Ability to assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders

✔ Strong collaboration, adaptability, documentation, and patient-education skills

Preferred

·       Previous speech-language pathology experience is preferred but not required

·       Experience in acute care, outpatient care, or dysphagia management is helpful

·       Qualified early-career candidates are encouraged to apply
